Patrolling my stretch of the beach today. No sign of marine mammal wash-ups or stranding’s. Lots of activity by what looks like beach replenishment survey ships.

The New Jersey Shark Attack file was established in 1998 to collect data on all possible incidents of shark attack within the waters of New Jersey. Due to the close proximity and similar habitat with Long Island the file was expanded in 2017 to include all attacks in New York waters. On retirement the extensive data base has been shared with the International Shark Attack File. On my retirement in 2023 this page has become my personal blog and will include information on my current independent contractor fishery observer projects. It will also include information from my investigations into the marine mysteries of the Jersey Shore.
